| Katie Evans PhD, CADCIII, CDP, is an internationally respected expert and pioneer in the area of Dual Diagnosis, Trauma and Addictions. Her soon to be release book The Unfortunate Hero, The Soldiers Path of Recovery from Trauma & Addiction, will be released in 2010. She has consulted to schools and created treatment programs for working with Adolescents and their family. 27 years of working and consulting to treatment programs for children, adolescent and adults in both mental and addiction programs. She has co-authored 5 books on the topics of Dual Diagnosis as well as numerous client workbooks and journal articles. Dr. Evans presents workshops, lectures and offers consultation both nationally and internationally on a variety of addiction and mental health topics. Dr. Evans has been the program director of several adolescent treatment programs as well as adult dual diagnosis care. Dr. Evans has been a clinician working in the field of Dual Diagnosis since 1983. She has been a consultant to CSAT for 12 years. She is adjunct faculty member of Portland State University.
